It was great seeing Jonathan at church Sunday and Tuesday, even though he has to wear the mask. Who knows, maybe he'll start a new fashion statement! Ha! -Jen Womack (friend) |

UPDATE::Blood Work
Jonathan went in for blood work today. They want to check his levels to make sure he doesn't need a blood transfusion before the bone marrow transplant treatment can be started. His blood work came back well enough that he doesn't need a blood transfusion yet! Thank God!! The less transfusions he receives the better the bone marrow treatment will work.
Thank you all for your support and prayers!

Update::So far so good!
Jonathan went in for some more blood work today. His levels are still pretty low but not low enough to require another blood transfusion, Thank God! The less transfusions he has to have the better. Transfusions make the bone marrow transplant more difficult to work properly.
Jonathan is doing well but is still physically tired.
God is good!

Welcome Home, Jonny!!
Jonathan made it home safe & sound last night. He is happy to be home for a few days, but still has to have blood transfusions at Mercy Medical while he awaits the results of his siblings blood tests to see which one will be the donor. If you would like to visit him please ask him or his mother first to make sure he is feeling ok. Also DO NOT bring anything but yourself. Absolutely NO food or plants/flowers of any kind, as his immune system is very weak and he cannot risk catching even a common cold.
As soon as the donor is found then he will be headed back to UCSF for 3 months or more. Also he will be not be able to work for over a year so your donations are greatly appreciated for the trip expenses & his bills.
We appreciate all the Prayers, Love & Support!!
Sincerely, Katie Peterson (sister-in-law)

While dining at Logan's Sunday night, we made a "We miss you sign" and had the waitress take a picture of us all. Good news is Jonathan will be coming home for a few weeks soon!

UCSF::August 18th, 2012
Jonathan was transferred down to UCSF on Thursday the 16th. Saturday the 18th, we (Matthew Peterson, brother, Katie peterson, Sister-in-law, Joe Womack, friend, Jen Womack, friend, and Sarah Baker, friend) traveled down to visit. We stayed most of the day and kept him laughing as much as possible. All things considered, he still kept a smile on his face. Below are pictures from our time with him.
