Counts Are Up!!

So sorry about the wait, things have been pretty crazy!
Jon's counts came up Saturday and the doctors said don't get excited they will probably come down again but we said "You don't know the God we serve! They are gonna keep coming up!" and sure enough they keep coming up!!
Thank You Jesus!!
Jon is still having good days and bad days which is still normal,
but should be released from UCSF tomorrow or Sunday!
This is great news but he still has to stay in
San Francisco since he must stay within 45min. of UCSF.
We are still raising $$ to help with travel expenses & such. Every little bit adds up!
Thank You everyone for all you done so far!
Last weekend The Bakers, Debbie & Kristin went down to visit them & then another friend Jennifer visited him as well! He are some pictures that G-ma took...kind of blurry but we'll give her a break- hehe

Transplant is Happening Now!

Yay! The surgery to take Tim's stem cells went pretty well yesterday.
He should be released sometime today.
Jon is getting the transplant now, it will be done in several hours.
Thank You Sooooo much Everyone for all the Prayers, Love & Donations!!!
Keep up the good work! :0)
The Doctors are saying it will take about 3 weeks before Jon's counts start to rise
and him starting to feel better. All the continual Prayers, Love and Dontaions are still Very, Very important.
Especially during the next several weeks/months as this is probably some of the hardest times for Jon.

The transplant happening.
The staff at UCSF consider the transplant a "birth" since its a new start,
they even bring a birthday cake to you!
So Happy "Birthday" Jon :0)

Checking to make sure all is well. =0)

UPDATE::Blood Work

Jonathan went in for blood work today. They want to check his levels to make sure he doesn't need a blood transfusion before the bone marrow transplant treatment can be started. His blood work came back well enough that he doesn't need a blood transfusion yet! Thank God!! The less transfusions he receives the better the bone marrow treatment will work.

Thank you all for your support and prayers!

Update::So far so good!

Jonathan went in for some more blood work today. His levels are still pretty low but not low enough to require another blood transfusion, Thank God! The less transfusions he has to have the better. Transfusions make the bone marrow transplant more difficult to work properly.

Jonathan is doing well but is still physically tired.
God is good!

Welcome Home, Jonny!!

Jonathan made it home safe & sound last night. He is happy to be home for a few days, but still has to have blood transfusions at Mercy Medical while he awaits the results of his siblings blood tests to see which one will be the donor. If you would like to visit him please ask him or his mother first to make sure he is feeling ok. Also DO NOT bring anything but yourself. Absolutely NO food or plants/flowers of any kind, as his immune system is very weak and he cannot risk catching even a common cold.

As soon as the donor is found then he will be headed back to UCSF for 3 months or more. Also he will be not be able to work for over a year so your donations are greatly appreciated for the trip expenses & his bills.
We appreciate all the Prayers, Love & Support!!
Sincerely, Katie Peterson (sister-in-law)

UCSF::August 18th, 2012

Jonathan was transferred down to UCSF on Thursday the 16th. Saturday the 18th, we (Matthew Peterson, brother, Katie peterson, Sister-in-law, Joe Womack, friend, Jen Womack, friend, and Sarah Baker, friend) traveled down to visit. We stayed most of the day and kept him laughing as much as possible. All things considered, he still kept a smile on his face. Below are pictures from our time with him.
